Plantation Park Easter - Packing Party

Open Road Fellowship Church

Easter is coming, and that means it is time to hang out with the kids. Open Road Fellowship has adopted all 5 Kindergarten classes at Plantation Park Elementary as part of our commitment to connecting with our community. In previous years, we have had the opportunity to head over to Plantation Park and hang out with the kindergarteners and have an Easter Egg hunt. The kids and teachers have always had a blast! This year, we will not be able to hang out with the kids...  but, we still want to celebrate Easter with them.  We plan on providing each child with a basket full of goodies for them to enjoy!

We have enough eggs and baskets, but now we need candy. We are collecting individually wrapped candy to stuff into the eggs, lots and lots of eggs. We are starting our collection drive Sunday, March 14th and will run through Sunday, March 28th.

Candy can be delivered to the church or to On The Road Coffee Co. (next to Pepe's). Monday, March 29th, we will get together and pack the eggs, maybe eat a piece or two, and take a moment to pray over the kids we eventually will deliver them to.  Even with the closure of Plantation Park at this time, we are still determined to bring joy to some child during this Easter season.

HERE'S THE PLAN

  • Candy Collection:  March 14th - March 28th
  • Candy Drop-off:   Open Road Fellowship or On The Road Coffee Co.
  • Egg Stuffing Party:  Monday, March 29th @ 6:00 pm
  • Easter Egg Hunt With the Kids: Unsure of details at this time... stay tuned for more info!
