Easter Sunday

Open Road Fellowship Church

Easter Sunday

In the face of social turmoil, political unrest, illness and even death, we can live with confidence because Jesus rose from the dead. But, before you can be confident that Jesus rose from the dead, you have to have confidence that Jesus really died. That is what Paul addresses in his letter to the church in Corinth. Paul reminds them of the gospel—the good news about Jesus—that he has already preached to them. And what is it? That Christ died for our sins and was buried. That is the first part of the gospel! The good news of Jesus, the things we celebrate today, do not make sense if Jesus wasn’t dead! We are celebrating the resurrection, not the resuscitation! We celebrate the coming back from the dead, not the coming back from a near-death experience!

Service time is at 10:00am... we will be live-streaming the service online at Open Road Fellowship.

After services, come join us out at Hanger 316 for lunch on the grounds with a "dessert potluck." Grab your favorite dessert... bake your best dish... we're going to have a "People's Choice Award" for the "best" dessert of the day. Lunch will be provided by the church...Hey, what better time to invite someone to come with you? It will be an afternoon of fun with an egg hunt for the kids, some jump houses, and lots of fellowship.
