South Bossier Parish Park will be once again, one of the celebration sites as KTBS 3 presents Freedom Fest 2026, joining the nationwide America 250 celebration. This year's festivities honor the spirit of patriotism while marking the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Freedom means different things to different people. It could mean freedom of speech, freedom of religion, or the right to bear arms. We are truly blessed to live in the United States and enjoy the American freedoms that come with it.
Once again, it's all about God and country, and of course, those amazing fireworks. This massive Fourth of July fireworks display has become a northwest Louisiana staple for family entertainment. It will mark the third year for the event to be held at the park, located on Caplis Sligo Rd, approximately one mile south of Sligo Rd. Join in as we celebrate faith, hope, and patriotism.
This will be our Serve Day for July. We have the privilege of being part of this celebration, and we will need all hands on deck. We will provide the Family Area, enabling us to engage with the community. We will have our bounce houses for the kids and will be monitoring the water stations around the area. We again will provide assistance with parking as they look for a great turnout.
