SERVE - that's what we do. For August, we will be helping Men of Courage Louisiana conduct a block party in the Old Bossier Community around Bossier Elementary. Men of Courage invests a lot of energy for the Gospel in that area, and we're going to help. We'll be providing lunch and a kids' area—all hands on deck for this one.
Men of Courage Louisiana has developed an urban farm in the community called Cumberland Farms to bring a sense of community back to this declined area. Reconciling this neighborhood for the Gospel is their primary concern. You can learn more about Cumberland Farms and how you can help by going to their Facebook Page or their website.
Our plans, for now, is for the cooking team to prepare chicken plates. We'll need servers to serve the lunch. Open Road Kids and Open Road Students will provide a kid's area. And because of limited parking, we will use our bus to help shuttle people from Bossier Elementary to Cumberland Farms.
