Hey parents... have your kids been inside just a little bit too much? they just won't get out and play... Well, its time to help out with that a little bit. Kids and Teens, it's time to "catch" up for a morning of family fun and fellowship. Come join us Saturday for our 2nd Annual Fishin' Derby. Last year's was a blast. We have access to a great stocked pond and we are going out to catch us some fish!
We will load up on the church bus at 830am to head over to the "Bodcau Hot Spot" where we will enjoy a morning of fishing and fun. Parents, you are welcome to join us if you want or just drop off the kids. We will take care of the bait, and if you don't have a pole, that's ok, we'll take care of that also. We will take time out for lunch and a little Bible Study to round out the day. We will head back to the church around 1pm.

All the kids and families made their way around the lake, looking for that special spot. As the bobbers danced across the rippling water, conversation and fellowship ended up being the magical bait.
Several fish were caught, with an unexpected "winner" of the event. Mike Birmingham spent his day with the kids and came away with the most fish caught. The kids had a great time, as did I, and I can hardly wait for our next trip.
In the end, we learned that it wasn't about the fish in the lake that we need to be fishing for, as Chris brought the word. It's the people among us, that are swimming all around, waiting for that particular person to drop a line and fish for them.
We are... fishers of men.
