God will use us to accomplish great tasks, but we must be willing to admit when our sinfulness keeps us from embracing His great love for all.
The story of Jonah is about more than a reluctant prophet. Instead, the real focus of the story is that of a compassionate God who gives multiple opportunities for people to respond to Him. He allows people numerous chances to respond to his call to their hears to change their ways. While it may not alway amount to full reversal of direction and complete submission to Him, it doesn't prevent Him from offering multiple chances to do so.
