The Christian life is difficult. Jesus even promised that in this world we would have trouble. That said, believers have not been left unequipped to handle the challenges a faithful follower of Jesus faces. Galatians 5:16 promises Christians, "Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." This is important to remember: When we walk by the Spirit, we’re not living by the desires of the flesh. It presents an either/or situation for believers: Either you are living for yourself, or you are living for God.
