My name is Justin Ford; I’m so excited to be a part of such a great ministry. I was born and raised in Bossier City, and have never lived anywhere else, until we moved to Haughton in 2017
I’ve been a firefighter for over 19 years, and continue to serve presently. I’ve been married to my wife Kayla, for 13 years. Together we have seven children, six boys, and one girl. We have a little plot of land here in Haughton that we call “Chicken and Biscuits Farm,” where we spend a lot of our time. Our other time is spent serving the Lord and letting Him use us for His glory.
I am actually a “newer” convert and spent a better part of 20yrs as a non-believer. That all changed in 2018 when God shook my soul and woke me up. After accepting Christ, I knew there was so much more He wanted to use me for.
I immediately felt called to ministry, and it didn’t take long for Him to draw me into the children’s ministry here at Open Road Fellowship. I’ve been raising kids since I was 18, but that only prepared me in part for this calling, my faith and relationship with Christ has done the rest.
Children have been such an important part of my life, and now God can use me to build their relationships with Him as well. I look forward to serving as the Director of Children’s Ministry, and I know God is moving in our church. I can’t wait to see what he does moving forward.
